Cruise Itineraries
Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Morning:
- Depart from the meeting points in Hanoi or Halong Bay
From Hanoi International Airport: Picked up by a coach from the airport. The last departure of the coach is 12:00. Please look for a Pandaw sign with your name on it in the arrival hall. The coach arrives in Halong at around 14:00.
From Hanoi City: The meeting point is at Pan Pacific Hotel Hanoi - 1 Thanh Nien Road, Ba Dinh District. Registration at the hotel lobby at 9:30. Coach departs from the hotel at 10:00 and arrives in Halong at around 13:30.
From Halong Bay: The meeting point is at Tuan Chau International Jetty.
- Embark Pandaw Cruise between 12:00 and 14:00, followed by lunch with fresh local food
Afternoon:
- Enjoy your leisure time while sailing through the natural heritage site of descending dragon Waterland
- Drop anchor in a sheltered bay
Evening:
- Have a waiter-service dinner at the table
- Relax with numerous activities on board

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay - Viet Hai Village
Morning:
- Wake up by the sunrise of Halong, admire the scenery of thousands of dramatic limestone islands
- Explore Viet Hai Village on a bike or electric buggy (upon your interests)
- Visit the vegetable farm and get closer to the typical rural life
Afternoon:
- Cruise towards Lan Ha Bay and call on a floating fishing house
- Enjoy cocktails and sunbathe at a beautiful beach (depending on the weather)
Evening:
- Savor a great choice of local cuisine and exotic foods for dinner

- Depart Halong Bay, head for Hai Phong, and drop anchor nearby
- Learn how to make Vietnamese spring rolls and fruit carving in a cooking demonstration
Evening:
- Have a themed movie night among various options: The film Indochine in Vietnam, The Killing Fields in Cambodia, and The Lady in Burma are some of the favorites

Day 4: Kinh Thay River
Morning
- Come to observe the vibrant life of the Kinh Thay River, a prominent commercial waterway
- Hear a lecture on Vietnam, its history, geography, and the boat people in the dining room
Afternoon:
- Take an excursion to Thanh Ha Commune
- Wander around the village and attend a private water puppet show under the shade of lotus and lilies pond
Evening:
- Back to ship and cruise til late evening, drop anchor midstream

Day 6: Hanoi City Tour
Morning
- The cruise drops anchor in Red River, Hanoi

- Walk around the Old Quarter and stop at a coffee shop also learn more about Vietnam’s famous coffee-making industry

Day 7: The lower Red River
Morning
- The ship sets sail from Hanoi up the Red River to Viet Tri, an excellent base for exploring the Highlands of Vietnam

Afternoon
- Visit the carpenter village, which is well-known for its fine carvings and woodworking methods

Morning
- The ship sets sail towards Tien Du ferry station, where passengers can board a boat to Gia Thanh, where they can observe how conical hats (known as 'non la') are created.

Morning
